Mark Heath, Founder and CEO UniPhi Group

Mr. Heath developed UniPhi after consulting to a range of ASX 200 and Fortune 500 companies, as well as major government departments. His passion and focus revolve around commercialising innovative and disruptive technologies – like UniPhi’s project and portfolio management software – to improve his client’s internal processes and returns. Mr. Heath’s experience as a financial analyst and management consultant means he has a detailed understanding of what drives true competitive advantage and the need to maximise opportunities in emergent conditions. UniPhi is the culmination of many years of research and development. Mr. Heath has ensured it is an effective, robust and mature system, which integrates with existing client systems and core applications. Mr. Heath holds a Bachelor of Business, Accounting and Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney. He is a fellow of CPA Australia and was a registered assessor for the Australian Institute of Project Management for 10 years.

Brian Cairns, Managing Director UniPhi UK Ltd

Mr. Cairns is a project controls professional with extensive experience in project controls and planning management with a background in major projects. He has experience in the establishment and management of Project Control teams for portfolios/programmes/projects covering all life-cycle phases from initiation through development, procurement, construction/installation, testing/commissioning and operations. Assignment experience includes all aspects of project controls and planning management, proposals/bidding, project delivery, handover/operational trials and extension of time/claims work. Mr. Cairns has a thorough capability in the management and co-ordination of all aspects of project controls (programme, cost, risk, change, reporting etc.), utilising best practice and pragmatic techniques to provide robust project support solutions with a committed and professional attitude.

Rajeel Deo, Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Deo is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has worked at UniPhi for 8 years. He is responsible for all internal operations across the UniPhi group. Mr. Deo has an entrepreneurial mind having founded his own car parts business as a 19 year old as well as profited from the trading in antique Japanese cars since this same time. He understands all areas of how a business makes money and hence can lead a cross functional team of sales, marketers, software developers and business support to focus on the critical issues and deliver the best value outcomes for effort. Mr. Deo’s financial acumen is a boon to our CEO who leans on him to support all elements of business analysis including resource planning, cash flow forecasting and price modelling.

Simon Day, Head of Consulting

Mr. Day holds a master’s in project management from RMIT and has 20 years’ experience in project management. He has worked for leading consultancies including SKM/Jacobs and AECOM/Davis Langdon during this time. He is now the Head of Consulting for UniPhi. Mr. Day has been responsible for the alignment of systems with process and subsequent roll outs to end users on major infrastructure projects including BER, Queensland flood recovery and Melbourne Metro Tunnel. He has implemented UniPhi as the Project and Program Management solution on these projects among others. On Melbourne Metro Tunnel project, he oversaw the implementation of three deployment of UniPhi for clients in different roles on that project. The Aurecon Jacobs Mott MacDonald JV for the reference design, AECOM for the IR role and SMEC as Proof Engineer. Mr. Day also implemented UniPhi as a business wide project management information system at Development Victoria (formerly Places Victoria), the state government’s development and major projects agency. He is a guest lecturer on project systems for RMIT’s Master of Project Management Program and runs the Victorian office of UniPhi.

Murray Stiles, UniPhi Architect

Mr. Stiles leads the UniPhi software development team and is the founding architect of the UniPhi system. Mr. Stiles is a graduate of web based applications from the 1990s and has a proven record at developing holistic system architecture that factors in the real world workflows of a project based workforce. He is prescient in selecting technologies that will have the capability of evolving and supporting a future that is constantly changing. This has allowed UniPhi to be developed out from the initial technology stack selected in 2003 and subsequent technologies wrapped around that like our RESTful API built on the WebAPI platform. Mr. Stiles has been involved in the successful implementation and systems integration of UniPhi software, to all of our clients across a range of industries, including Jacobs, AECOM, Department of Defence, BUPA Aged Care, Anglicare and Development Victoria. He is a strategic thinker and great to have in senior management meetings when a left of field answer is sought or simply to play devil’s advocate to the current team’s thinking.

Sarah Quinton, General Manager mbh training

Ms. Quinton is a skilled facilitator, trainer, assessor, mentor, project practitioner and presenter. She has presented on several occasions at the CPA National Congress in Victoria and the AIPM National conferences on the Fundamentals and Advanced Project Management tools and techniques. Ms. Quinton has trained over 1500 students in UniPhi and project management qualifications and has run an RTO for 20 years. She has worked as a consultant and project manager implementing projects including the successful delivery of legislation for the Nursing and Midwifery Board of South Australia (now AHPRA) this involved facilitation and mentoring to the rollout of UniPhi.
